Fly Khiva delays fleet expansion to 2026, eyes Boeing 737MAX
Uzbek carrier currently operates three aircraft
Fly Khiva, the Uzbekistan-based airline, has pushed back its planned fleet expansion to 2026, according to Technical Director Pavel Fedorchuk. Speaking at the MRO Central Asia: Engines conference in Tashkent on November 25, Fedorchuk said the carrier now expects to add three aircraft next year.
The airline plans to lease two Boeing 757F narrowbody freighters from Titan and Air Sale, while one Boeing 767 widebody is expected to be supplied by Icelandair. The Icelandic carrier previously delivered Fly Khiva’s first aircraft—a Boeing 767‑300 freighter and two Boeing 757‑300 passenger jets—about a year ago.
In September, at the Central Asia Air Cargo Summit 2025 in Tashkent, Fly Khiva had announced that the fleet expansion with these types would be completed by the end of 2025. That timeline has now been revised.
Fedorchuk also revealed that Fly Khiva is in discussions with Boeing to acquire two Boeing 737MAX narrowbody passenger jets, which could join the fleet in 2027. If the deal goes through, Fly Khiva would become the first operator of the 737MAX in Uzbekistan.
