Tashkent expands Dubai connectivity: Qanot Sharq debuts service to Al Maktoum International

Beginning December 25, Uzbeki private carrier Qanot Sharq Airlines launched non-stop scheduled service connecting Tashkent and Dubai.

By doing so, Qanot Sharq has become the only airline to operate this route via Al Maktoum International Airport (Dubai World Central – DWC), offering travelers an alternative gateway to the UAE.

The service operates five times weekly utilizing modern Airbus A321neo narrowbody.

While the Tashkent–Dubai corridor is already highly active, existing services exclusively serve Dubai International (DXB).

Current market players include flydubai (operating twice daily service), national carrier Uzbekistan Airways (daily), and Centrum Air, which is scheduled to ramp up to daily service by February 3.

This network expansion is underpinned by the modernization of Qanot Sharq’s fleet.

The airline recently achieved a regional milestone, becoming the first operator in Central Asia and the CIS to take delivery of the ultra-long-range Airbus A321XLR, providing the technical capability for ambitious route developments.
