Geosky receives fourth Boeing 767-300 freighter
This type of aircraft has become the mainstay for the Georgian cargo carrier
Georgia-based air freight specialist Geosky has taken delivery of its fourth Boeing 767-300F freighter. The 24-year-old aircraft, which received registration 4L-GEF, arrived in Tbilisi on November 5 from Istanbul, Turkey, where it underwent maintenance with local MRO provider myTechnic.
Before its conversion to a freighter, the aircraft was operated by American carrier Hawaiian Airlines and later by Russia’s Azur Air. It is now capable of transporting up to 56.5 tons of cargo, Geosky said.
The Georgian airline began taking deliveries of Boeing 767 aircraft in November 2024. Its fleet also includes one Boeing 747-200BSF and one Boeing 757-200PCF.
Geosky has been operating since 2017, delivering cargo between Europe and Asia via Tbilisi. In May of this year, the company renewed its IOSA certification (IATA Operational Safety Audit).
