Kazakh airlines passenger traffic grew 5.8% during eleven months
The republic's airlines carried 14.25 million passengers in the first eleven months of 2025 — Bureau of National Statistics
Kazakhstan’s airlines carried 14.25 million passengers from January through November 2025, according to data recently released by the Central Asian republic’s Bureau of National Statistics.
While this represents a 5.8% increase over the same period in 2024, the monthly growth rate has been steadily declining towards the year’s end.
RPKs reached 27.7 billion, up 6.7% year-on-year for the eleven-month period.
However, the November figures highlight the cooling trend: 1.19 million passengers were transported, a mere 2.2% increase compared to November 2024 (with RPKs down 1.9% year-on-year).
An analysis by Central Asia+ Aero traces the slowdown: passenger growth peaked at 7.5% in August, moderated to 6.2% in September, and turned negative in October with a 1.6% decline. Despite the recent slowdown, the full-year 2025 passenger total is still projected to surpass 15 million for the first time in history.
