Bishkek Manas International airport

Manas International Airport in Bishkek is Kyrgyzstan’s primary gateway; the state holding Airports of Kyrgyzstan manages the country’s entire airport network. On 7 July 2026 a TezJet MD-83 suffered a left main gear collapse during its takeoff roll for Osh, and the airport temporarily suspended operations. Kyrgyz aviation authorities then revoked TezJet’s air operator certificate.

Two Kyrgyz carriers replaced TezJet on international routes: SkyFru launched Moscow Domodedovo flights on 5 August, and Aero Nomad started Bishkek–Tashkent service on 23 August. In July Air China launched Beijing–Bishkek flights. According to Airports of Kyrgyzstan, Qanot Sharq will start charters to Phuket on 17 November 2026, and SCAT will fly charters to Sanya from early December.
