The passenger traffic at Kazakhstan’s airports is double that of Uzbekistan’s, but its growth rate is lower
Kazakh airports served 26.6 million passengers during first ten months of 2025
From January to October 2025, airports in Kazakhstan served a total of 26.6 million passengers, an 8% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the Central Asian country’s Civil Aviation Committee.
Local airlines carried 13.1 million of these passengers, representing a year-on-year rise of 6.1%.
In comparison, the combined passenger traffic at Uzbekistan’s airports for the ten months period reached 12.68 million people, with growth remaining in double digits at 14% year-on-year.
During the same period, cargo handled at Kazakh airports amounted to 140,000 tons, including 23,800 tons transported by local airlines—a 6.3% year-on-year increase.
In Uzbekistan, 78,450 tons of cargo and mail were handled over the ten-month period, marking a 12% increase over the previous year.
