Aktobe airport in Kazakhstan reaches major milestone, serving 1 million passengers

Located in western Kazakhstan's industrial region, airport surpassed this mark on December 15th

The Aliya Moldagulova International Airport in Aktobe (AKX, Kazakhstan) has achieved a significant milestone by serving over one million passengers in a single year for the first time.

The airport officially surpassed this mark on December 15th.

In 2024 AKX served more than 985,000 passengers and processed around 11,000 tons of cargo.

Strategically located in western Kazakhstan’s industrial region, Aktobe Airport offers connectivity:

•   Domestic routes: Aktau, Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Turkistan, and Shymkent.

•   International routes: Regular flights to Istanbul, along with seasonal services to Antalya, Phuket, Doha, and Sharm El-Sheikh.

Passenger traffic is supported by a range of airlines operating at the airport, including Air Astana, Scat Airlines, FlyArystan, Qazaq Air (VietJet Qazaqstan), Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, and Air Cairo.
