In 2025, Aeroflot carried over 267,000 passengers on the busy Moscow–Almaty route — a 7% increase year-on-year, the Russian flag carrier reported.

Aeroflot will raise regular flight frequency between Russia and Kazakhstan’s two largest cities to 21 flights per week, or five more than in summer 2024. The additional flights will run from late May to mid-September, catering to traditionally high seasonal demand.

In its current seasonal schedule, Aeroflot serves six Kazakh destinations: Almaty, Astana, Aktau, Karaganda, Kostanay, and Shymkent.
