Passenger traffic at Uzbekistan’s airports continues double‑digit growth

Passenger volume up 19%, flights increase 10% in Q1 2026

In the first three months of 2026, Uzbekistan’s airports handled a total of 3.987 million passengers, a 19% increase over Q1 2025, according to state‑owned airport operator Uzbekistan Airports.

Of that total, 3.324 million passengers traveled on international routes and 663,550 on domestic services.

The positive trend also extended to flight activity. From January through March, the Central Asian country’s airports handled 30,880 flights, up 10% year‑over‑year. International flights accounted for 22,880, while domestic flights totaled 7,970.

Tashkent remains the nation’s largest aviation hub. The capital’s airport handled 2.56 million passengers and nearly 19,000 flights, representing 64.2% of the country’s total airport passenger traffic.

The top five airports also included Samarkand, Urgench, Namangan, and Fergana.
