Tashkent Airport becomes first in Central Asia to launch automated Fast Track system
The project was implemented as part of a strategy to drive non-aeronautical revenue and digitalize passenger services
Tashkent International Airport (TAS) has launched an automated Fast Track service designed to expedite airport formalities. The implementation of this solution is part of a broader program to increase non-aeronautical revenues and optimize service standards for international passengers.
The service is available directly through HighPass, as well as via airline and tour operator websites as an ancillary option during ticket or travel package bookings.
The infrastructure includes the installation of automated Fast Track gates at the terminal. The system enables passengers to navigate passport control via a dedicated lane using a personal QR code, available for both departures and arrivals. This technology minimizes processing time by automating identification procedures. According to the management company, Uzbekistan Airports, Tashkent is the first airport in Central Asia to implement such technology. Globally, fewer than 100 airports currently utilize fully automated Fast Track solutions, highlighting Uzbekistan’s commitment to modernizing its ground infrastructure.
