Aeroflot to carry fewer passengers to Kyrgyzstan this year
The group’s airlines serve the Central Asian republic from Moscow and Krasnoyarsk
Aeroflot Group, Russia’s flagship carrier, reports that passenger traffic between Russia and Kyrgyzstan totaled just over 459,000 travelers during the first ten months of this year.
Based on these figures, 2025 traffic is unlikely to surpass last year’s performance.
In full-year 2024, the group — which includes Aeroflot, Rossiya Airlines, and low-cost carrier Pobeda — carried 573,000 passengers on routes between the two countries, a year‑over‑year impressive increase of nearly 35%.
Of those, more than 484,000 passengers traveled on services to and from Moscow, while nearly 89,000 flew on the Krasnoyarsk route.
In the post‑Soviet era, Aeroflot first launched Moscow–Bishkek service in 1997.
In total, eight Russian airlines serve the Kyrgyzstan market, operating 22 routes with a combined weekly frequency of 89 flights.
