LCC Wizz Air to serve Kutaisi and Yerevan from Bratislava
The budget carrier stations its aircraft at all three airports
Eastern European low‑cost carrier Wizz Air will introduce direct scheduled flights from Bratislava, Slovakia, to Kutaisi, Georgia, and Yerevan, Armenia, beginning early next year.
The move follows the airline’s relocation of its base from Vienna, Austria, to Bratislava earlier this month, where it has now stationed four Airbus A321neo aircraft at the Slovak capital’s airport.
Service from Bratislava (BTS) to Kutaisi (KUT) will launch on January 12, followed by flights to Yerevan (EVN) on January 13. Both routes will operate three times per week throughout the summer season.
Bratislava is located just 60 kilometers from Austria’s capital, Vienna.
Both Kutaisi and Yerevan are active Wizz Air bases, reinforcing the carrier’s position as the leading airline in Georgia as well as in Armenia.
