First-ever direct flights between Yerevan and London to be launched
Wizz Air to serve route connecting capitals of Armenia and England starting summer 2026
LCC Wizz Air has officially announced the launch of regular direct flights on the London (Luton, LTN) – Yerevan (Zvartnots, EVN) route.
Scheduled to begin on June 12, 2026, this will mark the first direct, non-stop route to the UK capital in the history of Armenian aviation.
The flights will be operated twice weekly by Wizz Air UK, the British subsidiary of the Eastern European budget carrier, using Airbus A321neo aircraft. Previously, travel from Yerevan to London required at least one connection, typically through Vienna, Warsaw, or Istanbul.
With this move, Wizz Air will solidify its dominant position in Armenia.
The discounter opened its base at Zvartnots Airport in October and currently operates flights from the Armenian capital to 16 destinations in nine countries. In January, the airline will also add regular flights to Bratislava, Slovakia.
The launch of the London route was made possible after Wizz acquired additional slots at Luton Airport from TUI Airways. This acquisition allows the airline to launch six new destinations simultaneously, with Yerevan being one of the key additions.
