Fly Cham (IATA code: 6Q), a Syria-based, UAE-backed airline, has launched flights between Aleppo and Yerevan, Armenia.
Service between Syria’s largest city and the Armenian capital operates on a weekly basis using an Airbus A320 aircraft.
The flight program began earlier this month, with three flights already completed.
Syria’s air transport sector is experiencing a resurgence following the end of more than a decade of war and the country’s international isolation.
Fly Cham is the nation’s largest carrier, operating four A320ceo aircraft.
The airline started revenue operations in June and is believed to be the result of a joint Syrian-UAE effort.
CentralAsia+ Aero earlier reported: LCC Wizz Air to serve Kutaisi and Yerevan from Bratislava.
