Ust-Kamenogorsk (Oskemen) Airport in Eastern Kazakhstan has implemented a new CUTE/CUPPS common-use platform and an automated passenger control system developed by the international IT company Advantix Group.

The implementation of the CUTE/CUPPS platform and the multi-factor control system has enabled the airport to: support simultaneous operations for multiple airlines at shared check-in counters and boarding gates; facilitate the use of electronic boarding passes and automated multi-factor document verification at all stages, from pre-flight security to final boarding, and track individual passengers across all terminal zones in real-time.

The terminal’s overall throughput capacity is expected to rise by 30–40% through dynamic resource allocation, Advantix Group explained to CentralAsia+Aero during Central Asia Digital Aviation’26 conference held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

“Implementing the CUTE/CUPPS and passenger control systems from Advantix Group allowed us to go beyond simple automation. We have built an end-to-end digital process where every passenger is served faster and more securely,” said Anastasiya Fomenko, Head of Passenger Handling Services at the airport. “We are already seeing tangible results: shorter queues, flexible use of counters and gates, and improved performance from our security teams. This is a major step forward in the modernization of our airport.”

Ust-Kamenogorsk Airport is a key air gate in Eastern Kazakhstan, serving domestic and international flights for four airlines. In 2025, the airport saw its passenger traffic increase by 14%, reaching a total of 745,000 passengers.
