Kazakhstan’s Emercom completes L-410NG turboprop fleet deliveries
Kazaviaspas introduces fourth aircraft of the type into service
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Emercom) has officially introduced its fourth LET L-410NG into service. The multi-purpose twin-engine turboprop marks the final delivery under a four-aircraft contract signed in 2024 with the Czech-based Omnipol Group, the parent company of aircraft manufacturer LET Aircraft Industries.
The aircraft, registered as UP-L4115 (serial number 3513), has joined the fleet of Kazaviaspas, the aviation rescue arm of Kazakhstan’s Emercom. The newly delivered turboprop will be based at Oskemen International Airport (Ust-Kamenogorsk), significantly expanding the operational capabilities of the ministry’s regional aviation division. To support the new fleet, the construction of a dedicated hangar for aircraft storage and line maintenance is scheduled to begin shortly with the support of the East Kazakhstan Akimat (regional administration).
According to Emercom, the primary missions for the new L-410NG will include rapid emergency response, humanitarian aid delivery, deployment of rescue teams, and medical evacuation (Medevac) from remote locations. The ministry emphasized that the L-410NG platform is critical for the East Kazakhstan region, which is characterized by challenging mountainous terrain and severe weather conditions.
The L-410NG (New Generation) modification features enhanced short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities, enabling operations from unpaved, snow-covered, and grass airstrips as short as 500 meters. Powered by General Electric H85-200 engines and equipped with a Garmin G3000 integrated flight deck, the aircraft offers a maximum range of up to 2,570 km. It is capable of carrying up to 19 passengers or a maximum payload of 1,800 kg.
The delivered aircraft features a fully convertible cabin configuration optimized for medical missions. The interior is pre-fitted with specialized stretchers and life-support systems required for the safe transportation of critically ill or injured patients.
