Uzbekistan’s airports handled 19,783 tons of cargo and mail in the first quarter of 2026. According to the management holding company, Uzbekistan Airports, this represents a 14% increase compared to the same period last year.

This also marks the strongest first-quarter cargo growth in the last three years. For comparison, growth in Q1 2025 stood at just 1%, while Q1 2024 saw a 6% increase.

The surge in traffic is largely driven by the rapid expansion of domestic cargo airlines. Currently, five specialized freight carriers operate in the country, maintaining a diverse fleet that includes nine Boeing 767-300Fs and one Boeing 757-200F operated by My Freighter, two Boeing 767-200Fs by Spacebee Airlines, and two Boeing 757-200Fs by SkyGuard. Additionally, Fly Khiva operates a Boeing 767-300F, while Stratos Freight has a Boeing 757-200 PCF.

In total, 98,137 tons of cargo and mail passed through Uzbekistan’s airports in 2025, a 12% increase year-over-year.
