Malaysia’s MASkargo launches scheduled freighter operations via Tashkent
Four weekly frequencies on the Kuala Lumpur–Amsterdam route will bolster the transit potential of Uzbekistan’s capital
Malaysian cargo carrier MASkargo has officially commenced a scheduled freighter program linking Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and Amsterdam (AMS) via Tashkent (TAS). Operating under previously reached agreement, the service runs four times a week utilizing widebody Airbus A330F freighter aircraft.
Tashkent International Airport serves as a transit hub for the Malaysian operator, accommodating technical stops and aircraft ground handling services.
“The launch of this flight program strengthens Uzbekistan’s logistics potential and further drives international air cargo connectivity through the capital’s airport,” stated Uzbekistan Airports, the airport management company.
MASkargo is the cargo and logistics arm of Malaysia’s national carrier, Malaysia Airlines. Headquartered at its primary hub, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), the operator leverages an extensive global network and strategic partnership agreements to serve more than 100 destinations worldwide.
