Uzbekistan Airways has successfully passed its tenth IATA operational safety audit under IOSA program.

The flag carrier of Uzbekistan first obtained its IOSA certification in 2008. Since then, the airline has consistently renewed its compliance with international flight safety standards and demonstrated the ongoing effectiveness of its safety management system every two years.

At the end of April, IATA opened a new office in Tashkent, highlighting the growing influence of Uzbekistan’s aviation sector in the region. According to the association, to fully realize its potential, the Central Asian republic must address several key objectives.  These include aligning national standards with global requirements and industry best practices, primarily by implementing the IOSA program.

Looking ahead, two additional Uzbek airlines are currently preparing to undergo the IOSA audit process.
