Armenia’s largest airline, FlyOne Armenia, has signed an agreement with CFM International at the Farnborough International Airshow for four LEAP-1A engines. The engines will power the airline’s two Airbus A321neo narrowbody airliners, which were ordered in May this year.

“The LEAP-1A engines will enable us to enhance our operational efficiency as we continue our growth across European markets,” said Aram Khachatryan, CEO of FlyOne Armenia.

FlyOne Armenia will become the first operator of the Airbus A321neo in Armenia. The airline’s current Air Operator Certificate (AOC) includes four Airbus A320 and one Airbus A321 aircraft from the ceo generation, powered by CFM56 and IAE V2500 engines.

The new aircraft with extended flight range will enable FlyOne Armenia to expand its route network, which currently includes around 30 destinations across Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East.
