The low-cost carrier Flyone Armenia (3F) has signed an agreement with Airbus for the acquisition of two A321-200NX aircraft. The signing ceremony took place on May 5 during French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Yerevan.

These are the first aircraft ordered by the carrier directly from the manufacturer. They will also be the first representatives of the A320neo family not only in the airline’s fleet but in Armenian civil aviation as a whole. According to the Armenian civil aircraft register, Flyone Armenia currently operates four A320s and one A321 of the previous ceo generation. The airline also utilizes aircraft of this generation wet-leased from other carriers within the Flyone Group.

Other Armenian passenger airlines, such as Shirak Avia and Armenia Airways, operate Boeing 737 NG and Classic jets.

The acquisition of the A321neo will allow Flyone Armenia to expand its route network, where the longest current route—Yerevan to Paris—takes approximately five hours.
