Air Astana Group commissions second full flight simulator
It received dual accreditation from EASA and the Kazakh aviation authority
Air Astana Group, Kazakhstan’s largest airline group, has commissioned its second Full Flight Simulator (FFS). The new equipment is located at the group’s training center at Astana International Airport.
In late March, the simulator was certified according to European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards. Air Astana also became the first airline in Kazakhstan to simultaneously certify the training device with the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan.
The new Reality7e full-motion simulator was developed by the US company Acron Aviation (formerly the simulation division of L3Harris). Much like the first unit delivered in 2023, it features six degrees of freedom and a high level of realism. The new simulator is capable of modeling a wider range of ground and flight scenarios for the Airbus A320neo family, providing pilot training in conditions that closely mirror real-world operations.
The group’s training center hosts 600 pilots from Air Astana and FlyArystan for training and recurrent checks every six months. The group is currently expanding the facility to return its cabin crew training device to full operation, the company explained to CentralAsia+Aero during a visit to the Training Center.

CentralAsia+ Aero earlier reported: Air Astana Group takes delivery of 60th A320 family aircraft.
